Cicada was founded in 1995 as a sole proprietorship and was incorporated under the laws of the State of North Carolina in 1996.

Since then...

We have built and maintained web applications for a wide variety of clients. We support and enhance the applications we build. Our typical customer works with us for 10 years or longer.

Supporting our customers is built into our DNA. Once in the early days of ecommerce we received a 3:00a.m. call from the employee of a client. There was no problem with their web application. Instead our caller had inadvertently sent an email message to the entire company (~20 people) that was meant only for his girlfriend.

We recognized the critical nature of the situation and rallied to help. At that time we hosted email services. These days we strongly encourage you to find specialized email hosts. But because we hosted the server we were able to remove the problem message from the server before anyone else saw it.

We apply common sense understanding to your needs when we become aware of them. If something needs to be addressed Right Now we find a way to address it.
